About Nicole
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor based in Vancouver, British Columbia. I hold a Masters in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia, with specialized training in school counselling. I have a background in education as both a teacher and school counsellor, and a passion for supporting children and youth in areas such as anxiety, peer relationships, family dynamics, self-harm, and adverse childhood experiences. Through this work, I’ve gained a deep understanding of how our early experiences shape who we are and how we relate to others. This informs my approach in supporting adults as they navigate emotional challenges, life transitions, and relationships. I believe understanding our values, beliefs, and cultural influences heals wounds and lays the groundwork for meaningful growth.
If I were to describe myself as a therapist, I would say I am authentic, collaborative, and committed. I approach my work with compassion and a genuine curiosity. I believe that although therapy is hard, there should be levity in the process. Those lighter moments are a gentle reminder we are not alone in our suffering. When life happens, I’m here to offer support and provide tools to manage. When there is space and capacity to explore issues deeper, I’ll be there to help turn us towards your difficult emotions, welcoming them with curiosity.
I take an integrative approach to counselling, drawing from the following modalities:
Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS)
Narrative Therapy
Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
I look forward to meeting you where you are, and helping you find a path forward that feels true to you.
