Child & Youth Counselling

Growing up can be challenging. Whether it’s navigating school pressures, managing big emotions, or coping with difficult family changes, children and teens benefit from a safe, supportive space where they can explore their feelings and develop healthy coping skills.

Counselling offers a confidential, non-judgmental environment where young clients can:

  • Understand and express their emotions

  • Build resilience and self-esteem

  • Develop healthy coping strategies

  • Improve communication and relationships

  • Navigate transitions such as divorce, grief, or moving

  • Manage anxiety, depression, or behavioural concerns

What to Expect

I use a variety of evidence-based and creative techniques, including play therapy, art, narrative approaches, and skills-building exercises. Therapy sessions are designed to be engaging, age-appropriate, and paced to meet each child or teen’s unique needs. Parents and caregivers are invited to be part of the process as appropriate, fostering a supportive environment both in and outside the therapy room.

I support children and youth facing challenges such as:

  • Anxiety and stress

  • Depression and low mood

  • Social difficulties and peer challenges

  • Trauma and loss

  • Attention and behavioural concerns

  • Life transitions and family changes

My practice is a welcoming space for all children and youth, regardless of background, identity, or ability. I prioritize inclusivity, respect, and cultural sensitivity in every session.
